All About Adoption
Location: Clifton Park
This is a one-night workshop team-taught by an attorney and a social
worker/adoptive parent. It covers the emotional, legal, financial and practical
issues involved in making a decision to adopt, as well as the mechanics of the
process and post-adoptive family life. Information on various methods of
adoption, including domestic, international, private and agency adoption, is
included. A comprehensive packet of information with reprints of relevant
articles and adoption-related organizations, services and fact sheets is
provided.
Instructors: Brendan OShea is a member of the American Academy of
Adoption Attorneys and represents adoptive and birth parents in all stages of
the adoption process. Lorelei Landau is a social worker and two-time adoptive
parent who has worked with several Capital District adoption agencies and is
active in the areas adoption community.
