Existentialism
Location: Colonie
Overview: Existentialism is a branch of philosophy dealing with the
self, the individual, and our human responsibility to ourselves and each other.
We are all existentialists. We all question our place in the world, the meaning
of our existence, and wonder what it means to define ourselves. We all
experience feelings of alienation and angst, freedom and choice, and wonder if
our hard work means anything on a grander scale. Existentialism says that it
does. Through understanding existentialism we come to better understand
ourselves, each other, and our place in the world.
This fascinating and comprehensible philosophy is useful in understanding the
natural human questioning and feelings we all experience.
