Beginning KnittingLocation: Colonie Overview: For the novice as well as the beginner with some idea, this class teaches the fundamentals of knitting. Basic technique will be covered fully utilizing demonstration and individual hands-on help. Your instructor will provide some references as well as furnish information concerning construction basics, so being a pen to jot notes. Casting on and off, the basic stitches of knit and purl, along with increasing and decreasing, will be covered. A small scarf will be the end result of the lesson, but the knitter will have the concept and, as their proficiency increases with practice, so will the length of the scarf. Note: Please bring a solid color skein of practice yarn in sport or worsted weight, and a pair of size 5 knitting needles. Instructor: Hallie Horning
