Intro to Floral ArrangingLocation: Troy Overview: Learn the art of professional floral arranging with Peter Whelan of Worthington's Florist in West Sand Lake. Using tulips, freesia, genestra, willows and many more seasonal flowers, you will learn a variety of techniques to create stunning arrangements that will inspire you to be creative with your own flowers throughout the spring and summer. Students should bring a wire cutter, scissors and paring knife to class. Instructor: Peter Whelan has been a floral designer for over 15 years. He has won numerous awards in local area floral competitions. Peter's floral designs have been commissioned by The Troy Savings Bank, Hedley's Park Place and by the Franklin Plaza for their special reception honoring Governor Pataki. Currently, he is associated with Worthington Florists in Wynantskill.
